Table Saw Safety Issues

A good friend of mine recently experienced a pretty serious set of bruises, from his tanble saw. Not having a splitter on the saw could have resulted in the kick back, after all his is a three phase - 5 horse, 14 inch blade is designed to eat lumber. With that kind of power, it's a wonder it didn't blow out the west wing of the shop!

Well this discussion eventually got around to who is more likely to get hurt in the shop, using a table saw.
